Items on the list:
1. Tide travel sink packets
2. Neutrogena makeup remover towelettes
3. Purell hand sanitizer
4. Colgate Wisps
5. Mini First Aid Kit
6. Pens
7. Charmin To Go toilet paper
8. Brush & Mirror Combo
9. Throw away camera (yes, they still sell these)
I wanted to find a way to package them with meaning. So I started writing little quotes for each item and why she may need that item on her trip. Each little saying started creating somewhat of a theme. The theme was that these items were in the bag, "just because".
"because accidents happen"
2. Neutrogena makeup remover towelettes
"because they make your face so fresh and so clean clean"
3. Purell hand sanitizer
"because you may meet a lot of cool/neat people BUT you may run into a lot of germs"
4. Colgate Wisps
"because you never know if you'll have running water"
5. Mini First Aid Kit
"because boo boos can happen"
6. Pens
"think. create. be inspired. fill up den journals"
7. Charmin To Go toilet paper
"because you just never know when you'll have to go:)"
8. Brush & Mirror Combo
"because you don't want to look like a rag doll"
9. Throw away camera (yes, they still sell these)
"because it may be fun to have surprise photos"
I hole punched all of the little notes and then tied them with jute to the item. I put them in clear wrap bags and then tied the bags at the top in a jute bow. The tag on the outside describes exactly what she is getting..."the because bags....because you never know when you'll need it"
We went out to lunch the day before she was to leave and she got a good laugh at all of her new little travel items. The funniest quote was for the toilet paper but her favorite item was the camera...I hope she captures a ton of memories. Her experience will be an incredible one.
